The 68th District Court Case Assignment Schedule - Specialty Docket

IT IS ORDERED:

This Administrative Order is issued in accordance with Michigan Court Rule 8.111. The purpose of this Order is to set forth the case assignment framework of the 68th District Court through a Specialty Docket format and the reassignment of pending cases based on this format upon approval by the State Court Administrative Office.

Effective July 1, 2008, the 68th District Court will implement a Specialty Docket Case Assignment System. All pending and future cases will be assigned accordingly.

Specialty Docket Current Judicial Assignments:

Judge William H. Crawford, II
will be assigned to the General Civil Docket (Case Type Code: GC & GZ). Any judicial disqualification will cause the case to be blind drawn between the remaining Judges of the 68th District Court.

Judge Nathaniel C. Perry, III and Judge Tracy Collier-Nix will be assigned to the Criminal/Traffic Dockets (Case Type Code: EX, FY, OM, SM, FD, FT, OD, OT, SD, ST). Any judicial disqualifications that arise will cause the case to be transferred to the other Criminal/Traffic Judge. If there is a second disqualification, the case will be blind drawn between the remaining Judges of the 68th District Court.

Judge Herman Marable, Jr. will be assigned to a Blended Docket that will include City Income Tax, Department of Natural Resources, Animal Control, Vehicle Abandonment Dockets and the following Case Type Code: 0I, SI, OK, ON, SK, SN, SC, LT, and SP). Any judicial disqualification will cause the case to be blind drawn between the remaining Judges of the 68th District Court.

The Chief Judge reserves the right to make changes to the assignment of a Judge to a Specialty Docket and will provide notification to the State Court Administrative Office for approval if any changes occur.

All judges will rotate weekend and holiday duty as assigned by the Chief Judge.

Any modifications of the Specialty Docket must be approved by the Chief Judge.
